When you buy movie tickets, you invest your hard earned money and your time to feel something great; hope, fear, laughs, tears and delight. Occasionally, you also feel manipulated and ripped off, when Hollywood marketing trumps the actual product on the screen. This is where the reviewer comes in, to anticipate your investment and gauge the quality of your return.
MarketBOB reviews the top box office hit every weekend (almost) and tells you whether it is worth your investment. I rate movies based on Genre, Story and Quality (GSQ Score) and tell you why. I also rate whether the audience in the theater with me felt it was a positive or negative experience (their mood). Based on this combined evaluation, I decide whether the movie is a BULL (optimistic about the future) or a BEAR (pessimistic about the future). The last three years have been an emotional roller coaster, with several themes and genres dominating the box office (Zombies and End of the World stories, anyone?)
So, for the low price of 0.99 cents, read all my reviews for the last three years, collected in my latest book:
